I am fortunate to share a special bond with my identical twin sister. Much of our lives, thoughts and feelings have been intertwined allowing us to join forces to face the difficulties life has put in our path. In 1995, five years after her surgery, I also was diagnosed with breast cancer. She guided me through the maze of treatment, surgery, and medication with the understanding we’ll get through this. And we did!

Our kinship has been extended to the other members of the Empire Dragon Boat Team. As we paddle in unison under the leadership of Donna Wilson, James Ma and James Losada we no longer define ourselves as cancer victims, we are victors, triumphantly gliding in our dragon boat across Flushing Bay.
