Amanda has been dragonboating since 2004 after graduating from high school. She paddled with the Hua Fu Chinese School youth team for a season and the Capital City Dragons youth team the following season. Afterwards, she paddled and helped coach her father's Corporate Team with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) from 2006 to 2008. After moving to New York City in 2008, she discovered the Empire Dragons through Coach James Ma and paddled with them for a season. She then joined his competitive co-ed club crew, the Puff Puff Dragons, and is now going on her second year as a paddler.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys cooking, pick up games of soccer, building websites, trying new cuisines, and studying at the French Culinary Institute. For her occupation, she works for UBS Investment Bank as a Mortgage Analytics Software Developer in Jersey City, NJ.
Amanda is thrilled to be coaching for the Empire Dragons. She is looking forward to helping others reach their maximum potential as paddlers and helping the team as a whole achieve great things!
